Role Overview: As a Content Writer, you will be responsible for creating compelling written content that showcases our products, educates our audience, and strengthens our brand. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce content across various channels including websites, blogs, product descriptions, social media, email newsletters, and more. The ideal candidate will have experience writing for product-based businesses, a solid understanding of content marketing, and a knack for crafting content that resonates with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Write clear, concise, and engaging content for various digital platforms, including product pages, blog posts, website copy, case studies, email newsletters, and social media posts.
- Product Descriptions: Develop compelling and informative product descriptions that accurately represent our offerings and drive customer interest.
- Content Optimization: Optimise content for SEO, ensuring it ranks well in search engines and drives organic traffic to our website.
- Research & Insights: Conduct research to understand industry trends, customer pain points, and competitive products, using this information to inform content creation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product, and design teams to ensure all content aligns with the brand voice and product messaging.
- Proofreading & Editing: Review and edit content for grammar, clarity, and consistency, ensuring a high standard of quality.
- Content Strategy Support: Assist in the development of a content calendar and help brainstorm content ideas that support product launches, promotions, and brand initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in content writing and management.
- Proven experience in content writing, with a portfolio of published content (preferably in the tech/product space).
- Strong understanding of how to write for the web, including SEO, readability, and engagement.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to simplify complex product features and concepts into easy-to-understand and compelling content.
